Kuwait Gypsum Boards are made of a gypsum core and a cardboard lining. The gypsum core consists of of calcined gypsum mixed with water, starch, pulp and some other chemical additives to control the setting time. The cardboard lining protects the gypsum core from all sides except on the width where the boards are cut. It is also gives the boards more strength and flexibility.

Different types of Gypsum Wall Boards are now being made in Kuwait by Kuwait Gypsum Manufacturing & Trading Company in its factory located at Mina-Abdullah Industrial Area, about 50 kilometers from Kuwait City.
The plant was the first plant in the Middle East built for the production of Gypsum Boards with technical specifications according to the international standards.
The Plant capacity is sufficient to cover the requirements of the Kuwait local market and part of the neighboring markets. More than 2.5 million square meters of gypsum boards with different thickness, can be produced manually
